Fox on an Island

Starting in to this Project I knew I wanted to create a realistic landscape with abstract elements. Since I had not drawn any concept I started by sculpting a small piece of landscape and scattered some nature elements on its surface. As an abstract element I decided, that Ill just use a basic torus scaled up. The next step was to add Materials on to the objects. After that I rendered the scene and set everything up for compositing. But I thought that it was a bit empty looking. After some brainstorming I decided to add A fox to the Scene.
Because the final render in Blender had no sky, I decided to do some post work in Photoshop. There I added a night sky and fog. To make the scene look realistic I only had to do some color correction and add some noise to the whole composition.
